We Care About You & Your Hearing

Stephanie Holder is the Owner of Sensible Hearing having a strong passion to help all people who struggle with hearing loss.  She has been a Hearing Aid Specialist for 18 years and loves being able to improve the quality of communication in people's lives.  After working at two different hearing clinics for over a decade, she decided to open her own office first in her hometown of Decatur.  She has since opened an office in Springfield and Shelbyville, as well as servicing several small towns offering in-home visits/on site visits at various community centers.  She has three children: Carter, Olivia, and Gabriella. Currently, her family has been enjoying fun in the sun whether it be pool time or summer night baseball, soccer and vollyball games.

Taylor is on year 5 with Sensible Hearing. She works in Decatur and Springfield and is currently in a few of the facilities in Springfield. Since she has been with us she has recently gotten married and started a family of her own. She gets the best of both worlds only working a couple days a week and being being a stay at home for for the rest of the week.

Cathy Coffey has years of experience in administration.  While most of her career was in educational administration inside the school system, she has brought all that knowledge to small business to help manage patient database and financials. Sensible Hearing jokes that Cathy is a triple threat, as she is not only an employee, but also a patient and relative of Stephanie.  She knows firsthand the effects of hearing loss and can relate to patients.  She is married with two adult children. Although she is retired from her previous role in education, and frequently travels in her motorhome, she continues to monitor our data base financials remotely.

Kristy Benson is coming up on her 2nd year with Sensible Hearing. She takes on the role of Patient Care Coordinator, and is often the voice you hear over the phone.  She also helps manage events, marketing, and supplies. After taking 8 years off from the healthcare industry to raise her children, she decided to work part time once her youngest started school again. Along with her husband, Ryan they have 3 children and enjoys spending her free time with them!

Michelle Gillespie has a plethora of work experiences in secretarial settings, both education and restaurant equipment.   She previously worked 7 years at St. Patrick School as the secretary, which is how she met most of the team at Sensible Hearing. Those experiences prepared her for her role at Sensible Hearing as patient care coordiantor and insurance claim specialist. Her experience in the service industry serving food and drinks also equipped her to relate to all types of people and offer great customer services.  She is married and has a daughter and 5 grandchildren, who are the light of her life.

Alyssa Winter is currently working with a temp license as a hearing aid specialist and continuing her education to become fully licensed. Her and her husband recently had a baby at the end of 2025 and are so excited for this next chapter of life! She enjoys helping people hear better and walking alongside everyone in their journeys.

Ashley is currently enrolled in the hearing specialist program and working as an audi tech in our Decatur and Springfield offices. In her freetime she enjoys spending time with her husband and their three children.

Shirley has over 12 years of administrative experience, bringing compassion, organization and dedication to her role as Springfields PCC. She enjoys building meaningful connections with patients and helping create a positive and supportive environment. When shes not at  work, she loves spending time with her family. As a proud mom of 4 and a grandmother of 2, family is the center of her life. She also enjoys adventures, traveling, and discovering new places and experiences.
